Being the daughter of fine actors, Jolie initially wanted to pursue her career into acting. Though with time she chose to a funeral director, then a model and eventually she became interested in tinsel town. She starred in the first film named Cyborg 2 in 1993.
Angelina Jolie first became aware of the worldwide humanitarian crisis when she went to Combodia for her film Tomb Raider in 2001. She visited the Afghan refugees in Pakistan and donated $1 million for the refugees. During the later half of the year, she was named as the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
She is the first to receive Citizen of the World Award in 2003 by United Nations Correspondents Association. In the same year she donated $5million aiming to set up a wild life sanctuary in Battambang, Combodia. She even became the member of Council on Foreign Relations in 2007 and received the Freedom Award by the International Rescue Committee.
